Novo-Passit (Guaifenesin) is an expectorant which increases the output of phlegm (sputum) and bronchial secretions by reducing adhesiveness and surface tension. The increased flow of less viscous secretions promotes ciliary action and changes a dry, unproductive cough to one that is more productive and less frequent. By reducing the viscosity and adhesiveness of secretions, Novo-Passit (Guaifenesin) increases the efficacy of the mucociliary mechanism in removing accumulated secretions from the upper and lower airway.

How To Take
Novo-Passit is taken orally by adults and children over 12 years of age: 1 tablet or 5 ml of solution 3 times daily before meals. If needed, the dose may be increased to 2 tablets or 10 ml of solution 3 times daily as prescribed by a physician. The interval between doses should be 4–6 hours. If nausea occurs, take the preparation during meals.
